Hi All My Name is Sam, I live in a small village called Crynant, just outside the town of Neath in South Wales, which is around 50 miles from David Broomes` Equestrian centre. I have two sisters, Rachel and Harriet who have both represented our country on the International circuit. Harriet is the current Under 12 World Individual Champion. I am currently the Riders Representative for Wales and this year, I will be the Team Host coordinator for the European competition that will be held here in Wales. I hope that my team of Hosts are the most helpful to your team/Country and that you enjoy your stay here in Wales. Which I am sure you will as Wales are renowned for their great Hospitality. My name is Gemma, I live in Raglan, Monmouthshire which is about 20 minutes from the David Broome Event Centre. I have two children, Ben and Sam who are 7 and 3 and they both ride. Ben also rides for his county team Monmouthshire. I am married to Iain Hopkins, trainer of Monmouthshire MG Team, and also Wales in many international events. I have been on the international scene for a few years now as a Wales supporter having attended the World Team Championships and European Championships in Sweden, Germany, England, Wales and Belgium. I was also a team host to Canada in the World Team Championships in Wales in 2005. Being a 'Local' girl to this years European event, I hope to be able to help as much as I can, so that your trip to Wales is enjoyable and great fun! Hi All,
I have been competing in MGA for about six seasons now. I have always ridden for West Glamorgan, and for the past three or so years have been lucky enough to ride for Wales at Home International, European and World Championships- at Junior and Open level, competing with, and against some amazing people and riders. I am looking forward to meeting and greeting all the teams at the Europeans and I just know that it will be a brilliant week, both on the field and off. I have been riding since I can remember,it all started when I joined Banwen PPC and then went on to join West Glamorgan MGA team. I have represented my country in the Home Internationals and the World Campionships. I have trained the Welsh mini team for the Europeans in Germany. I’m Alex! I’m a veterinary surgeon, and although I’m ENGLISH, I now live and work in Wales. I’m here to make sure you have as wonderful a Championship as possible.
I have been riding all of my life and competing in Mounted Games for many years. I ride for Shropshire in the UK, and have represented England on many occasions, so hopefully I won’t be a new face to many of you and you will feel able to approach me if there is anything you need.
My other hobbies include rugby, drinking and having my photo taken with cows!
