Set in beautiful Welsh Countryside, the David Broome Event Centre has been host to National and International equestrian events for 40 years. 7 times Olympic Show Jumper, David Broome, created the centre to give opportunities for riders of every level the chance to compete in their chosen sport using only the finest facilities.
Now the busiest equestrian centre in the Country, our organisation provides not only competitions for those riders aiming but also provides countless opportunities for the plethora of grassroots riders that participate in their sports purely for enjoyment. to represent Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics,
On Site Accommodation Our on site Chalets are specifically designed with riders in mind. Each unit can comfortably sleep up to 6 - 8 people and is fully equipped with kitchen, shower, lounge area and High Definition TV. These can be booked through the centre’s web site www.theshowground.com.
The Arena Measuring 72m x 100m, we are most proud of our state-of-the-art All Weather Arena. Using computer technology to control the consistency of the surface, we are able to offer perfect ground conditions for every equestrian disciplines. This is particularly important for the fast paced sports such as Mounted Games. The computer controlled system also programs the surface to take into account current weather conditions. This enables us to continue to offer perfect ground conditions in virtually all possible weather scenarios
Directions
.From M4 London: Off at J21 sign posted "M48 Chepstow / Services" - this will take you over the old Severn Bridge. Turn off at J2 (A466) and take roundabout exit to Chepstow (Welcome to Wales). At next roundabout take left turn sign posted "A48 Caerwent" continue for approximately 3 miles to next roundabout then turn left. Approximately 2 miles later take the first right hand turn. The caravan field is the second field on your left. The other entrances can be found several hundred meters further down the same road.
From M4 Swansea:
Off at J24 to meet "Coldra Roundabout". Take the Langstone turnoff and follow signs towards Chepstow for approximately 10 miles. Turn right opposite the 4x4
